Cloud Strategy & Governance
More and more companies are relying on the Public Cloud to use IT services in an “as-a-service” model. However, for strategic or compliance reasons, they often choose to retain part of these services within their own data centers, adopting architectures based on the simultaneous use of on-premise applications and services provided by Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), according to the “Hybrid Cloud” paradigm. In this context, corporate data centers also play an important role in integrating the various components and typically host the systems for managing and administering the delivered services.
When adopting Cloud technologies, it is also essential to pay close attention to the network connections to CSPs, which must be able to meet the typical requirements of private WAN (Wide Area Network) connections, following the model known as Cloud Data Center Interconnect.
Transformation & Migration
Migrating to the Cloud allows companies to benefit from greater flexibility, scalability, and reduced operational costs, but it requires a methodical and well-planned approach. Every phase of the process – from evaluating the applications and data to be migrated to managing security and regulatory compliance – must be carefully coordinated to ensure business continuity and minimize risks.
An effective migration plan also includes optimizing network connections, monitoring costs, and providing adequate staff training, enabling a smooth transition to new operational models. The ultimate goal is to create an efficient and resilient cloud infrastructure capable of supporting business growth and responding quickly to changes in the market and digital technologies.
We supported a major Italian Utility in the high-level design of its Cloud architecture, defining guiding principles, a governance model, and strategic directions for the evolution of infrastructure and application services toward a hybrid ecosystem.
We supported a Public Administration in managing the project governance aimed at defining the requirements plan for the onboarding and delivery of secure cloud infrastructure services.
