Spectrum
The radio spectrum is an essential resource for the operation of wireless communication networks, and its use is regulated both by international bodies and initiatives (such as the ITU and the WRC) and at the national level by the relevant communications and spectrum authorities.
An optimal use of frequencies requires considering a wide range of technical, economic, market, and regulatory factors.
5G Mobile and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA)
Thanks to their ability to provide ultra-broadband connectivity in both mobile and fixed contexts, 5G networks enable operators to deliver seamless and cost-effective services—even in rural areas not covered by fiber networks.
5G networks are also the ideal candidates to support the implementation of solutions across a wide range of industrial sectors. Through resource virtualization and network slicing, they allow the creation of dedicated and customized network segments capable of supporting a variety of applications, each with specific service requirements.
Internet of Things (IoT)
WiFi, 5G, and LPWAN networks have the potential to revolutionize the Internet of Things (IoT) landscape.
WiFi plays a key role in the IoT ecosystem, offering an effective and cost-efficient solution for interconnecting devices and sensors within confined environments such as corporate campuses.
5G networks not only provide high-speed wireless connectivity, but also deliver high reliability and the ability to manage millions of devices and sensors with low latency on a national scale.
In addition, LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) technologies represent a strategic component of IoT, thanks to their ability to cover large areas with minimal energy consumption. They are ideal for applications where devices need to operate autonomously over long periods, such as environmental monitoring, smart utility management, or logistics.
The synergistic integration of these technologies enables the deployment of scalable, resilient IoT models that can adapt to a wide range of use cases.
For over 10 years, we have been supporting an Italian mobile network operator (MNO) in defining its strategy regarding radio spectrum, assisting them in all phases of acquisition and technical evaluation.
We are currently supporting the leading Italian operators in the deployment of 5G networks.
We supported a global leading manufacturing company in exploring the opportunities offered by 5G, assisting them in identifying high-value use cases.
We took part in the design and roll-out of the largest Fixed Wireless networks in Italy.
